Bandipur Tiger Reserve
Bandipur Tiger reserve was created by Maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore in 1931 and named it Venugopala Wildlife Park.The Tiger reserve has 231 tigers as per the census from 2010-11. It is around 220 km from Banglore and 70 km from Mysore. We took an evening safari to the Jungle. One can book a gypsy or a bus for safari. We could not get a gypsy and went with the bus. Check out the tour of the sanctuary.
