Ooty is a charming hill escape for those looking for peace and serenity. The hill town of Ooty is a nice place to indulge in shopping if not something really unusual. Commercial Road is one of the best places to shop where there are a number of government shops, Kashmiri shops and Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan. Ooty sells some excellent tea. Homemade Chocolates, Eucalyptus oil, Cloves, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves, Nilgiri Tea are the main shopping attraction of Ooty. You can buy woolen goods also from there, they are good and cheap.
Another major attraction here, Toy Train goes through the breathtaking scenic views of Lovedale, Ketti etc. Many Indian movies had been shot on this train including the famous "Chaya Chaya" song od Dil Se!.
