Kanyakumari Road Trip from Bangalore

Day 1: We started at 4:30 pm from Bangalore (we stay at Sarjapur, so close to Tamil Nadu border). We drove to Salem and spent the night at hotel "Raj Residency". The hotel is clean and in a good area.

Day 2: We started at 7.40 AM and drove to Kanyakumari. Reached by 2:30 pm after breakfast and lunch stopovers. Stayed at hotel "Ramraj Resort". Its a new hotel with tasty breakfast, good staff behavior and helpful. Spent that evening at Sunset point (walking distance from the hotel).

Day 3: We drove to Sunrise point at 6 am. Watched Sunrise and returned to the hotel. We had breakfast and visited Chitharal Jain rock temple (1.5 hours drive), Padmanabhapuram Palace (30 mins drive) and then returned to the hotel (1 hour drive). Then, we hired an auto and went to the ferry point and bought tickets for the boat ride to Vivekananda Rock memorial and spent the evening there. After coming back to shore, we went to Triveni Sangam and spent some time there. We had an early dinner at The Ocean restaurant and did some shopping and returned to the hotel by auto.

Day 4: After breakfast, we visited Vattakottai fort and spent some time there, then drove to Erode. Stayed at a friend's place.

Day 5: Drove back to Bangalore home.

1. A lot of wind turbines are there near the shore.

2. Kanyakumari is a family place. More Rocky surfaces, there are nearby beaches, but we didnt visit this time.

3. A lot of wind at Sunset point, Vivekananda Rock memorial, Vattakottai fort areas. Loved it.
