Aatukad waterfall is situating at pallivasal village in idukki district ,  kerala.
The journey is to a beautiful waterfall on the way to Munnar ..

In front of the Pallivasal Tea Factory on the Kochi - Dhanushkodi National Highway, you can see a path through the tea garden.
I continued my journey along that path which was lined with small lemons and guavas ..
Pallivasal is a small village which is the gateway to the tea garden of Munnar...
Tea plantations on both sides of the road .. Plantation workers enjoying their work against the backdrop of light drizzle. It's good to see the morning rays hitting the tea leaves wet in the drizzle.
It's not enough to see a colorful spring like a rainbow in front of your eyes.
The sounds of the stream flowing with me through the small ditch near the road and the few sparrows that came to eat the guava in the middle of the garden pass through my ears.
We can see the waterfall in the distance.. And also An awesome view from a great height that flows downhill and falls with great force ..  Perhaps because it is located between two hills full of tea, no loud noise can be heard. After a few more twists and turns, then comes the eucalyptus trees.
As you walk along the shady path, you can only hear the sounds of birds perching on the trees, chirping, and music between the twigs in the wind.
You can hear the roar of the waterfall with a hint that the destination is getting closer ... it was a special experience..
A view from among the eucalyptus trees..
Attukadu Falls is an iron bridge that connects two hills at a good length.

With the arrival of the monsoon, the wind blew with it as it swelled to its full strength.
When I crossed the bridge, that wise bathed me in water ..

When I came to take the picture two days ago, the water was flowing over the bridge due to heavy rain.  This is such a big waterfall.
The Pallivasal Panchayat has erected barbed wire fences on both sides of the bridge as accidents have become frequent due to people descending on the falls.
If we cross the bridge, we can take a short trekking route to reach Chokkanad Dam or Headworks Dam in Munnar. Pallivasal, the first hydropower project in Kerala on the Muthirapuzha river, overflows from the headworks dam built during the reign of the king and falls to a depth of less than one kilometer, forming the Attukadu waterfall.
A house close to the waterfall and a small tea shop next to it.
They are waiting for tea and snacks for the visitors to see the wonders of nature.
The surroundings of the house are adorned with beautiful flowers and vines .. Cardamom is cultivated here and there..

The full form of the waterfall can be seen by moving the red flower hanging down from the vines decorated like a pandal in the yard of the house and walking a little further by hand.

This family has built a bamboo seat for travelers to relax after a cup of tea and enjoy the sound of the waterfall.
Travelers are busy taking photos Regarding the backdrop of it all.
I'm proud of that amazing family who made such beautiful views so Nice..
It is commendable that they, who do not have much education or even world experience, have realized the tourism potential of this place and have made their surroundings and their home as beautiful as the waterfall. During the monsoons, the water falls to a depth of 500 feet, making it a beautiful sight to behold.
Attukadu Falls is a beautiful place with rocks, craters and whirlpools. However, but  we can only see a part of the waterfall.

If you want to see the steep view from the top as it is winding, you have to go through the tea forest and take another route. But the fence is back guarded so you can't go inside...
In the earlier occasion the first hydroelectric project of the Kannan Devan Company was located near the Attukadu Falls.

Butterflies and Honeybees are busy sucking honey from the plants planted around the house .. There is a large swarm‌..
They are the ones who come here and walk around without a clue .. Maybe she will be the biggest waterfall I have seen in my three travels.
Cheeapara, Valara and Thoovan are smaller than this .. I spent my day there walking on the bridge and taking some time from the bridge and taking in the views from many directions on the phone. As promised in all the journeys, I gave her an assurance that I would see her again another day and I returned to my journey ... 9 km from here to Munnar ..
