Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky outcroppings.

Largest out of the three beaches is called Light House Beach with a 35 meter high light house. The second one is Hawah Beach. Most of the visitors explore these two beaches. Third beach on the northern side is known as Samudra Beach. A large promontory separates this part from the southern side. Samudra Beach doesn't have much tourists or hectic business. The local fishermen ply their trade on this part.

A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. We can spent time in sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, yoga and other health related activities. Unlike the other beaches in India, the sands on the beaches in Kovalam are partially black in colour due to the presence of ilmenite and Monazite.
