Pattadakal:

The temple town Pattadakal is situated in Bagalkot district is famous for its group of temples.  The city was earlier known as Pattada Kisuvolal, which means ‘City of Crown Rubies’.

There are 10 major temples in Pattadakal which are dedicated to Lord Shiva. Four temples are constructed in the South Indian Dravidian style of architecture and four temples were built in North Indian Nagara style .Two temples are a confluence of both the architecture. Every year many tourists gather here to see this picturesque structure.
 

Aihole:

Aihole was the capital of the Chalukya Dynasty, and is a city of spiritual treat and history. There are more than 125 temples in and around Aihole depicts the Hindu architectures.

Major temples are:

·Durga Temple

·Ladh Khan Temple

·Meguti Temple

·Ravanphadi Cave

 

How to go: Pattadakal is far away from Bangalore is 449 km. Pattadakal is well connected by road from Bangalore. Nearest railway station: Badami. Distance from Badami is 21 km which can be accessed by road.
The Distance of Aihole from Bangalore 452 km.From Badami it is 35 km far which can be accessed by road.
Nearest airport: Belgaum.

Best time to Visit: September to February.
