Me and My daughter were always pampered by my loving husband and a dotting father with either driven holidays or flight holidays. s

This summer holidays when my daughter turned 13yrs I wanted to give her a long lasting memory,  apart from usual gifts. So I planned for a quick Daughter and Mom  weekend getaway before the reopening of her school. When I checked with her I was little disapointed as she dint sound too excited since she was not used to going on a  holidays with a single parent. but my husband encouraged me and asked me to go ahead with the plan. When I gave my daughter a choice between Hill station and a beach her obvious choice was beach since she had already done two hill stations Munnar and Yercaud in the past 2 months. I wanted her to experience something different so came up with the idea of taking her by overnight AC sleeper bus( instead of flight) - her first ever bus experience and decided to travel to Mangalore. Much to my surprise she loved the bus journey so much that she only slept for few hours and enjoyed looking out of the window full night.

After reaching Mangalore early in the morning by 6 am we took an auto to our resort CAMP 21 ( 20 mnts drive from central Mnaglore). The resort was beyond our expectations. not a luxurious one but a rustic resort with wooden cottages right on the banks of the beach. We headed straight to the beach and soaked ourselves in the water for about an hour since by 8 am the scorching Sun was out  .

Day time was spendtin our room  playing board games with good Mangalore and South Indian breakfast  in the morning and North Indian lunch in the afternoon. .Evenings were spent on the beach watching beautiful sunset and playing in the water. Same thing was repeated on day two as well ( except that we ordered Pizza for lunch on swiggy) before we headed back to Bangalore taking the same mode of transport.

A special mention about the Resort  Camp: Has a private beach only for its guests, good spacious rooms to choose from, good food, very Friendly Owner ( who took  special request since we checked in early in the morning ) and hindi and local language speaking staff.
