Visit to Munnar was one of the most memorable one in my life time. I have visited Ooty, Kodai as well which is part of the same western ghats, but still I give full marks for Munnar. The best part of Munnar is its climate. We enjoyed rain, chillness and even sun light in our short 3 days stay. Kerala is such a beautiful place.

We booked a home stay in Aanachal area, which is around 30 mins drive from Munnar town. We wanted to stay away from the busy town and found Aanachal, a small town down the Munnar, is a good option with all the necessary shops available. And the climate wont be that much chill here compared to Munnar. Since we travelled in a very cool season, chillness in this place was perfect to stay.

We covered most of the places in Munnar in a 2 nights 3 days plan. We got a good cab driver connection through our home stay owner and the guy was very helpful throughout our trip. We were lucky to see the seasonal flower "Kurunji" in this trip, which was an unforgettable moment. We were not expecting this and it was all surprise for us.. Its a seasonal plant which blooms in every 12 years.. And Yes, We got a chance to see that flower...!

We heard about few other places like Idukku Arch Dam, Kanthalloor from our cab driver. But couldn't include it in this trip as those places are bit away from Munnar. So we tried to spend good time within the Munnar and kept the other places in our bucket for the next trip.
