Overall I had a great experience during my ladakh trip. In terms of culture, the Ladakhi culture offers a very unique influx of the Indo-Aryans and the people of Tibetan descent. With such a huge amalgamation of geographical wonders, cultural diversities and uniqueness in flora and fauna, Ladakh surely makes for a worth visiting destination for everyone at least once. People are really good by their nature and behaviour.

About acute mountain sickness, So as all you know Leh is located at a high altitude - nearly 10,000 feet above sea level. ... So, yes, there is less oxygen in Leh, as compared to low altitude and plane areas.

But except this Ladakh is full of surprises and natural beauty seems like heaven.
