We started our journey in car to Cherrapunji in the morning 10.30 am. On the way, we went to shillong peak . Shillong peak is at a height of 6449ft .It

gives a panoramic view of the city and its lush green landscape. The peak is around 100kms from guwahati and 10kms around from shillong. You can also see the Bangladesh river plain from the peak. After visiting the peak ,we resumed our journey  to Cherrapunji. The route to Cherrapunji was filled with lush greenery with many small mountains that is unique to Cherrapunji. On the way there are many view points that's is nice to stop and click some lovely pictures.
We finally reached cherrapunji is very unique about owand we reached cherrapunji at around 6o clock and  next day we went to  Seven Sisters Falls also known as  Nohsngithiang Falls . It is a seven-segmented waterfall located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of Mawsmai village in East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. The water

falls from a height of 315 metres (1,033 ft) and has an average width of 70 metres (230 ft) and  it is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. After visiting the falls we headed to the Mawsmai caves.Mawsmai Cave is located at a short distance from Sohra and is an easy attraction to access and explore. There are some places inside the cave where you will need to squeeze around and crawl – and this adds to the experience of cave exploration. The Mawsmai cave route that is accessible to tourists is not very long and is very safe so you do not want to miss out on this unique opportunity. The cave is also famous for its fossils, some which you can spot if you spend some time peering at the walls and formations inside. After a almost one of hour of trekking,we finally could manage to squeeze ourselves out of the exit route of the cave.

After the cave we send our GPS to one of the most mesmerising waterfalls of Cherrapunji, the Kynrem falls. The Kynrem Falls is located 12 kilometres  from Cherrapunji. It is situated inside the Thangkharang Park. It is the 7th highest waterfalls in India. The Kynrem Falls is a three-tiered waterfall, with water falling from a height of 305 metres. The fall spreads out in two different parts with each of them gaining momentum by getting merged while flowing down the last leg of the third tier. It is indeed a scenic view of the waterfall from the bridge below with water drops showering on your face. Finally we had our evening snack and packed our bags and with scenic memories of the beautiful Cherrapunji in mind ,we started our 4¹/² hour  return journey to  home to guwahati.
