We planned this trip keeping in mind about my mother who can't travel for long hours & can't walk too much. So our itenary had lots of breaks, rooms near to the temples & less places.

So started first with making room bookings. In my past travels TTDC or Hotel Tamilnadu was a pleasant experience. Their properties are located at a walkable distance from the temples with good views. They r clean & tidy too. Food is descent & value for money. Nirmal who is the manager here in Bangalore office took care of our bookings. He can be contacted on 8073424225.

Next, we planned the itenary as per my mom's priority. She just wanted few temples as per Tirtha prabhanda of Sri Vadirajaru who describes as per Rama's visits. So we shortlisted & started our journey from Bangalore.

Whenever I start from Bangalore I make sure to start off early like 5.30 or before to reach the outskirts before the traffic kicks in. We crossed the border by 6.30 & the further highway was a smooth ride. We had carried some poha & coffee, so we stopped on a bye lane post Dharmapuri & had our breakfast. There are some diversions around Salem which will slow u down a bit but we managed to reach Madurai around the lunch time. We had our packed lunch in one of the petrol bunks, stretched our legs & took an extra minute break. The further road was a single lane but good ones with less traffic. We visited Devipattanam or Navapashana, the navagraha installed by Lord Rama himself which is in the sea. We saw five of them as the other four idols got immersed due to tides. It's a peaceful place. We started towards Rameshwaram & were welcomed by the Pamban bridge with amazing sea views. We stopped for few amazing sea blue clicks with full of fisherman boats. We reached our hotel around 4.30pm.
