Two days stay at Akshaykalpa farm

Finally decided for May 3 and 4th. yes, one mistake was choosing to go on summer. We thought it may be cooler than Bangalore.  But it was not. It was sunnier. Other than that, the experience was good. Exposure to the farm land and to know about farming, it is a good place to visit

The route to Akshaykalpa is via NH75 and drive was 3 hrs.

On the way near Hirisave we visited Shanishwara swamy Temple known as punyadhama Shanishwara swamy Temple. A big and spacious temple filled with divinity.  If anyone planning to visit Akshaykalpa, can visit this temple on the way

We reached Akshaykalpa at 10.30 am. We were welcomed with tea, coffee and buttermilk. Then we were taken on the bullock cart ride followed by tender coconut for all

Since it was too sunny, we were tired. But buttermilk and tender coconut saved us. And we took rest in one of the kuteeras

Later there were many activities planned by them. They explained about bees, vegetables composting, about cows and showed the milking of cows

In between lunch was offered. We need to serve ourselves and later wash our plates and glasses .

Food was very tasty including chapati, Mudde and rajmudi rice👌

At 5 pm our luggage arrived near our tents. We were allotted the tents. It was too hot to enter the tents. So, we stayed outside, enjoyed the farm. Walked around. And also cycled around the farm

Tents were really difficult to stay as it was summer. It was too warm. But late-night cool breeze helped us to have a good sleep. And bathrooms are not so well maintained.  We had 8 bathrooms for 24 tents. 4 for ladies and 4 for Gents.

Next day, Early Morning we had farm walk. They showed their biogas and explained about their farm.

After that, the best part comes. Vegetable harvesting where we were asked to harvest whichever Vegetables we want to take home. Later it was billed to us. We all enjoyed a lot. It was the best experience

If you are planning to visit Akshaykalpa. Visit for the experience, don't expect comfort. Food is amazing. tea and coffee are served nicely. The staff is knowledgeable.  You get to make new friends. You can cycle around the farm. You get to see peacocks and many other birds

Another best part. They capture your beautiful moments and share the photos with you later

Akshaykalpa visit made us to realise one thing farming is not easy. Lot of efforts goes in for it. Loads of respect for the farmers 🙏

Overall a good experience to understand about farming and dairy practices
